Böker X Daily Knives X Alex Kremer

There has never been anything like this in the German knife scene before. The oldest knife manufacturer in the world is working on this project together with the guys from Daily Knives (also known for their custom scales for Swiss Army Knives as Daily Customs) and custom knife maker Alex Kremer. This unique collaboration is symbolized by the three makers marks on the top part of the blade.

The idea behind the AK1 was to produce a knife that in its dimensions exactly hits the sweet spot between practical size and good wearability. The modern design is absolutely clear and unmistakable by Alex Kremer. In order to get the lightest possible weight and an exceptional cutting performance, a blade thickness of 2.5mm was used, which glides marvelously easily through all kinds of material. Together with Alex Kremer and Daily Knives, Böker decided to use the RWL-34 steel, which is produced by Damasteel in Sweden and is quite close to the American CPM154 in its composition. This steel was already used by knifemaking legend Bob Loveless, among many other custom makers.

The drop point blade shape ensures an all-purpose use, where the tip of the blade sits a little above the central axis of the knife.

The Micarta handles are screwed onto the skeletonized tang and available in two colors (natural jute and bison). An ingenious detail is the rotating lanyard tab: you can choose whether to carry the knife with or without a lanyard hole. The included leather sheath comes with a sewn-in UltiClip, so that the knife can be clipped on to the hem of the the trousers or pocket. Thanks to the compact size and the low weight, you get a very discreet all-purpose knife, which can be worn and used every day in the spirit of Daily Knives.
